The Sail Boat
The sailboat is a Beneteau Cyclades 50.5, a 16-meter vessel crafted in France.
It is equipped with solar panels, seven batteries, two large refrigerators, GPS and VHF systems, a motor engine, an outboard engine, an autopilot, a depth sounder, and a desalination unit providing an unlimited supply of fresh water, in addition to its 1,000-liter water capacity.
The boat features five double cabins, three bathrooms, and a sixth cabin with a private bathroom designated for the skipper.

You will share a cabin with another person.
You have the option to choose between a cabin with private bathroom (1250Є) or a cabin with shared bathroom (1200Є).
**Every passenger needs to bring 75Є cash to cover the Marina Entrance and Marine park tickets. -
All meals are included, as well as fruits, snacks and soft drinks. Vegetarian and vegan options are available and must be communicated to me before the trip.

Freediving equipment: mask, snorkel, fins, 3mm or 5mm wetsuit
Hat, buff, polarized sunglasses, warm sweater, beach towel, waterproof jacket, sunscreen.
Personal water bottle (although there will be water and drinks available on the boat)
Any special foods or medications (seasickness tablets, waterproof bandaids for fin sores, electrolytes)

Dolphins at Sataya are very curios and friendly, yet we cannot touch them under any circumstance. Humans carry bacteria that are not beneficial for these animals, so always maintain a safe distance even if the dolphins get very close to you. .
Dolphins at Satayah can be found all year round and our encounter with them is 99% guaranteed. -
To reach Hamata, Egypt, from Europe, you’ll typically fly into Marsa Alam International Airport (RMF) or Hurghada International Airport (HRG), the two closest airports. Direct flights to Marsa Alam are available from select European cities through airlines like TUI, Condor, and easyJet, while Hurghada has a broader range of international connections.
From either airport, you’ll need to arrange ground transportation to Hamata, which is about 2.5 hours from Marsa Alam and 5 hours from Hurghada. We can organize that for you (click here to see prices).
Some travelers also fly to Cairo International Airport (CAI) and connect to a domestic flight to Marsa Alam.
Itinerary

We arrive to Hamata Port early in the morning (transport can be arranged by Aziab at extra cost). Aziab team will load the boat with all our lugagge and supplies, and off we go to Satayah Dolphin House!

Around 3 hours sailing from the port & you find yourself inside a 6km lagoon protected by one of the red sea’s largest reef. This is Satayah Dolhpin House, a huge lagoon in which you have one of the best chances on our planet to meet wild dolphins.
Multiple pods of spinner dolphins takes Satayah as their home , the pods together make 100+ specimen. We will spend 3 days here.

We then move on the 4th day to Abo Galawa, a wide reef system very rich in corals and marine life. The main attraction of the reef is Tien Hsing wreck laying between 2-20 meters, making it suitable for snorkelers, free and scuba divers.
The wreck is full of life as it is completely overgrown by healthy corals. Do not forget to look in the blue sometimes we our fin friends pathing by.

Then on 5th and 6th days we stay in four dreamy islands, visible from shore, makes a perfect stop on our last day on the trip. The islands are surrounded by crystal clear waters and pristine coral reefs.

On day 6 we head back to Hamata Marina in the morning and arranged transport will take us to our airports or selected destination.

Spinner dolphins are famous for their acrobatic leaps and spins, which can include up to seven rotations in a single jump! These playful behaviors may help them communicate or remove parasites.
These dolphins are highly social and often travel in pods of 50 to 100 individuals, although larger groups can include hundreds of dolphins.
Spinner dolphins are nocturnal hunters, feeding on small fish, squid, and shrimp during the night and returning to shallow reef areas like Satayah during the day to rest and socialize.
They are relatively small dolphins, growing up to 7 feet long and weighing around 130 to 170 pounds. Despite their size, their energy and agility are unmatched.
Spinner dolphins communicate using a variety of clicks, whistles, and body movements. These sounds help them coordinate their activities and strengthen social bonds.

You will share a cabin with another person (there is a curtain available that you can extend in between you and your roomy for more privacy). When he project first started, we thought that most of the trips would be group booking & private charters. On the contrary, more than 70% of our guests turned out to be solo travelers.
Being on a tight space with strangers can feel new at the beginning but it always turned out to be epic and most of our guests became friends afterwards.
It is just magical how sharing the same passion with other people can be!!

We have a cook onboard providing the 3 meals and the snacks, our chefs are so experienced with sail boats, you will be amazed with their outcome from such a small space!!
In Egypt we operate in remote areas so specific diets need a previous notice in order we can meet them.

The southern Egyptian Red Sea is great all year around, the minimum water temperature usually never drops below 22 degrees between February and march with air temperature lows never dropping under 16 degrees in the same period, while you would get plenty of sun light throw out the day and high temperature reaching around 25 degrees in winter months.
Summer is pretty hot but usually dry with temperature reaching the higher end of the 30s during the day and the mid 20s during the night, water temperature between July and September is usually around 30 degrees!!

Spinner dolphins (the pod can get up to 100+ members). During the day, the come inside the reef to rest and sleep. Sunrise and sunset are their most playful moments!

The boat is working on solar power, large electronic devices like laptops cannot be charged onboard. Bringing your own full charged power bank is highly recommended.

Sailing is our way to reach and observe and enjoy unique nature but it is not the main objective of our trips.
In the Red Sea we usually cover 50 nautical miles through out the trip which makes more or less 6-8 hours of sailing through out the whole trip. We spend most of our trip in Satayah dolphin reef since this is the highlight of the area. Together with Hamata islands, Abu Galawa reef , Sataya they are perfect mooring areas, the reefs makes a perfect shelter for the boat making the experience very relaxing and comfortable.
The wind in this area of the red sea is usually between 12-18 knots, rarely exceeding 23 knots which makes a very nice breeze in the hot days, allowing us to sail without compromising comfort on the boat.
